At trial, the jury convicted Mr. Taback's client of attempted murder with a gun enhancement and assault with a firearm. The client was then facing a sentence of over 25 years to life in prison. At sentencing, Mr. Taback convinced the court to not sentence on the attempted murder conviction and to impose a greatly reduced sentence on the assault conviction.
